We are excited to announce that, on the 21st of August 2024, product managers Andreea Munteanu (AI) and Adrian Matei (Managed Services) will represent Canonical in a keynote session at Kubecon China, at the Kerry Hotel in Hong Kong. Canonical has been a regular presence at Kubecon events over the years, and we are excited to be joining Kubecon China for the first time.
The session, Tackling operational time-to-market decelerators in AI/ML projects, will dive deep into the requirements and factors that enable operational excellence in AI ventures, from infrastructure provisioning to monitoring and incident recovery. We will focus on what an open source AI stack should look like from a dual perspective:
- On the component side, we will explore tools like Kubeflow and MLFlow, examining their integrability in the infrastructure stack and their usability in various AI projects.
- On the operations side, we will provide a holistic analysis of AI infrastructure operations, from the lowest to the highest levels of the stack. The session will define operational excellence in machine learning, then present the benefits and challenges of achieving it.Lastly, we will lay out various pathways to operational excellence suitable for enterprises of multiple sizes.
This topic is particularly important in the context of the recent operational challenges that the industry is facing. With the fast-paced innovation that surrounds the market, and the plethora of new tools and methods that emerge every day, sustaining an operationally efficient stack is key to long-term resilience and success. Furthermore, operational excellence is essential to achieving legal and security compliance, as well as to involvement in governmental projects.
