In our latest on-demand webinar, we explore how we can build and manage highly scalable OpenStack clouds with BootStack, Juju and PLUMgrid. Arturo Suarez, Product Manager for BootStack at Canonical, and Justin Moore, Principal Solutions Architect, at PLUMgrid, discuss common issues users run into when running OpenStack at scale, and how to circumnavigate them using solutions such as BootStack, Juju and PLUMgrid ONS. Watch on-demand
BootStack offers users the ability to have Canonical experts build, operate and optionally transfer their OpenStack cloud. Using Juju, the application and service modelling tool, BootStack easily integrates the necessary cloud infrastructure for business needs. Canonical’s award-winning model-driven operations system Juju enables reusable, open source operations across hybrid cloud and physical infrastructure. Software integrations and operations are encoded in “charms” by vendors and the community of experts familiar with an app. These charms are reused by ops teams as standardised operations code that evolves along with the software itself.
PLUMgrid, a member of both Canonical’s OpenStack Interoperability Lab as well as the Charm Partner Programme, has charmed PLUMgrid ONS, enabling easy and reliable integration into OpenStack deployments. PLUMgrid Open Networking Suite (ONS) is a comprehensive suite of virtual network services that is designed with a programmable, distributed architecture providing secure multi-tenancy, scale-out performance, production-grade resiliency, and automation deployed by enterprises and service providers to operationalize their OpenStack cloud’s SDN and NFV deployments. Built on PLUMgrid Platform® and IO Visor® technology, the software suite significantly reduces the deployment time of OpenStack clouds and enables users to create private Virtual Domains that provide per tenant micro-segmentation with traffic isolation, security groups and policy enforcements.
